               He operates CW on 40-10 metres and will be leaving the
               island on 5 February in his early morning.

- 5/2          BRAZIL; PW2M SA-071
               from Moela Island by PY1RO, PY2EJ, PY2OC, PY2WAS, PY2XB,
               PY2ZA and possibly others on one of the most wanted IOTA
               groups in South America. The PW2M team originally had
               planned to be active from until 8 February, but they have
               been authorized through the 5th only. Access is granted,
               permissions are given and transportation is supplied by
               the Brazilian Navy. QSL via AI4U and PY2AA (for Brazilian
               stations).

               from Cedar Key. Expect holiday style activity on 40-15
               metres, mostly CW and RTTY. Wade will try to get Liz,

               from Providenciales Island. Activity is mainly to
               participate in the FOC Marathon (a members only event

               from Bonaire by K8GG, KD9SV and W8UVZ. They plan to
               concentrate on 160, 80, 30, 17 and 12 metres.

               by JJ8DEN. He operates CW, RTTY and PSK31 (no SSB) with
               100 watts into an inverted-L or full size dipole for 160
               and 80 m, a ground plane for 40 m, a dipole for 30 m,
               and a beam for 20, 17, 15, 12 and 10 m.

- 12/2         GUANTANAMO BAY; KG4AS, KG4WV, KG4SS and KG4OS NA-015
               by N4SIA (KG4AS), W4WV (KG4WV), K4MIL (KG4SS) and KD4OS
               (KG4OS). They plan to operate mainly SSB with some RTTY
               on 160-10 metres, and possibly on 60 metres as well.

               The team on Bouvet Island is scheduled to be picked up on
               12 February (the date may change due to local conditions).
               Petrus, 3YØE, is active on 20 metres SSB (14260 kHz with
               a split of 5 kHz up). He has an Icom IC-735 and a Hustler
               4-BTV vertical antenna, but limited HF experience. He was
               given a brief training session on operating procedures a
               couple of days prior to departure. 3YØE will change
               operating frequency to 14.260 MHz working split 5-10 kHz
               up usually between 1700-1900z daily. Operating times and
               schedule still remains the same due to the availability

               from Ascension Island (SA-043) as XR7A and from Wager
               Island (SA-053) as XR7W on 9-12 February (weather
               permitting) by CE6TBN, HA1AG, RA0FU and RV1CC. They will
               focus on 30, 40 and 20 metres. Depending on Internet
               availability, HA1AG will try to update his travelblog

               will operate SSB and digital modes during his evening

               from the South African Antarctic base SANAE IV
               (Vesleskarvet) by ZS6WLC. He expects to operate SSB on
               14180 kHz and AM on 14280 kHz; CW will be supported using

               Krugersdorp 1740, South Africa. ZS7BYRD will be
               a commemorative station for Admiral Richard E. Byrd’s
               1930 and 1934 expeditions, where they used the McMurdo
               Silver crystal circuit for selectivity and the Collins
               pioneered class B AM modulator for the first voice
               transmissions to the USA from Antartica respectively.

               authorized to use the special prefix VR1Ø in replacement
               of VR2.

               from Kabul. He is regularly working for about two hours
               starting around 0830 UTC. His equipment consists of
               a FT-897D with 100 watts and a folded dipole. He has been

               by CT1BXT. His preferred mode is RTTY; for the time being
               he is active on 20 metres with 100 watts and a dipole,
               but he hopes to put up a 5-band beam for 10, 12, 15, 17

               On 1 January 2008 the official currency of the Republic
               of Cyprus will change from the Cyprus Pound to the Euro.
               To celebrate this historic event, members of the Pafos
               District of the Cyprus Amateur Radio Society will use the
               call C4EURO throughout 2008. Expect activity on the HF and

               CW and SSB, with an emphasis on 160, 80, 30, 17, and 12
               metres. They will participate in the ARRL DX CW Contest
               as J7DX (QSL via W9IU) in the Multi-Multi category.

11/2 - 28/2    DUCIE I.; VP6DX OC-182
               by a large team of experienced operators. The current
               roster includes DL3DXX, DL6FBL, DL6LAU, DL8LAS, ES5TV,
               K3NA, N5IA, RA3AUU, SP3DOI, SP5XVY, SV1JG, UA3AB and WA6CDR.
               The team expects to reach the island at the local sunrise
               on 9 February and to be QRV not earlier than the local night
               on the 11th. They plan to set up seven stations on two widely
               separated locations, with one 26 m-tall vertical for 160 m,
               five 4-Squares (80, 40 and 30 m), five vertical dipole
               arrays (20, 17, 15, 12 and 10 m) and one 5-element Yagi for
               6 m. Actual QRT time will be dictated by weather and sea
               forecasts; if conditions are good, operations will end on

20/2 - 26/2    KAMPUCHEA; XU7XRO
               by 9M6XRO. QTH will be Sihanouk Ville (Kompong Som).
               Activity will be on CW, SSB and the Digital modes.

21/2 - 27/2    ECUADOR; HC1MD
               by NE8Z from Tumbaco, (with an in between side trip to
               Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, PY1/NE8Z). He plans to operate
               CW and SSB on 80-10 metres. QSL via K8LJG.

22/2 - 29/2    GUYANA; 8R1PW
               by G3SWH and G3RTE. They will operate CW only on 160-10
               metres, and will concentrate on the low bands, and on
               30, 12 and 17 metres (activity on 160 m is possible, but
               will depend upon QRN and site conditions). Propagation
               permitting, they plan to have two stations on the air for

26/2 - 13/3    FALKLAND IS.; VP8 SA-002
               from Pebble Island by DL2AH. Activity will be holiday
               style on 40-10 meters mainly on SSB and RTTY using

28/2 - 7/3     ST. KITTS & NEVIS; V4 NA-104
               from St. Kitts by W1USN, AA1M and W1SSR. They plan to
               operate CW, SSB and PSK on 160-10 metres.

1/3 - 6/3      SAN ANDRES/PROVIDENCIA; HKØ
               A group (WF5W, W5PF, K5WAF, NM5G, W5PR, and N4AL) of
               members of the Texas DX Society plan to operate from
               San Andres Island, Colombia. Thy will use two separate
               stations with beam and vertical antennas and they will
               use individual callsigns on CW, SSB and digital modes
               on the major HF bands. Callsign assignments are pending.

3/3 - 10/3     ST. KITTS & NEVIS; V4/G4FAL NA-104
               He plans to operate mainly CW on 80, 40, 20, 15 and 10

               from Santa Catalina Island between 2200z, March 6th
               to 2300z, March 10th. Activity will be mainly on 75/40/20

7/3 - 17/3     CLIPPERTON I.; TX5C NA-011
               a team lead by N6OX would be going to Clipperton Island
               sometime in early March 2008, arriving on Clipperton
               around 4 March. Plans are to operate 12-14 days depending
               on conditions, with 100,000+ contacts as a goal.
               The current roster includes N6OX, N7CQQ, K4SV, N2WB,
               N6HC, W8AEF, WA1S, K6SGH, K3VN, K4ZLE, K8LEE, VE7VR,
               F5AHO, F5PAC, AD6E, VA7DX, F6BFH, F5JY, F8FDN, FM5CD

15/3 - 23/3    HONDURAS; HQ8R NA-035
               from the rare Swan Island by a team from the Radio Club
               de Honduras. They are looking for 10 operators to be able
               to work two PHONE stations, one CW and one RTTY/PSK31
               station on 160-10 metres SSB, CW and RTTY/PSK31 with four

16/3 - 27/3    RWANDA; 9XØR
               The team (EA2RY, EA3EXV, EA5KM, EA5RM, EA7AJR, EB5ESX,
               EC4DX, I8NHJ, IN3ZNR and UY7CW) will be active on 10-160
               metres CW, SSB and RTTY, with at least three stations
               operating simultaneously on different bands and modes.

16/3 - 30/3    MAURITANIA; 5T
               a German team is planning a DXpedition to Nouakchott,
               Mauritania. The current team of operators are: Rich/DK8YY,
               Rene/DL2JRM, Ralf/DL3JJ, Ingolf/DL4JS, Dan/DL5SE, DL2ARD
               and Andreas/DL7ZZ. They plan to have 3 stations on the air;
               2 with amplifiers. For operations on the low bands
               2 verticals (V160 and V80) will be erected, and on 40 m
               they will use 2 phased verticals. For 30-10 meters, they
               will set up 2 beams, and for the digital station there will
               be another groundplane. They will try to have an online log
               available that will be updated daily via I-net or pactor.

               activity will be on CW/SSB on 160-10 meters.

               watts into a vertical antenna. Expect activity on 40, 30,

4/4 - 5/4      GUAM; WE8A/KH2
               activity will be on 80-12 meters SSB with some CW.

16/4 - 24/4    ARUBA; P4ØZB SA-036
               by K9WZB and K7WZB. They will operate CW, SSB and RTTY
               on 40, 20, 17, 15, 10 and 6 metres. QSL direct to K9WZB.

2/5 - 23/5     BHUTAN; A52TL
               by OZ1TL. He plans to operate 99% CW on all bands.
               QSL via OZ1TL.

21/5 - 26/5    BAHAMAS; C6AYM NA-001
               from Nassau, New Providence Island, by K9GY. Activity will
               be on 80-6 meters, CW and SSB. Also look for him during the
               CQ WW WPX CW Contest (May 24-25th) as a Single-Op/All-Band/
               Low-Power entry. QSL via K9GY, direct or by the Bureau.

21/5 - 28/5    TURKS & CAICOS; VP5/KØOK NA-002
               from Providenciales Island. He will participate in the
               CQ WPX CW Contest (May 24-25th) using the callsign VP5E.
               Activity outside of the contest will be on all bands.

11/6 - 23/6    MAYOTTE; FH/DK7LX AF-027
               will be active holiday style, CW on all bands with an
               emphasis on 30, 40 and 80 metres using vertical arrays
               as well as dipoles. QSL via home call, direct or bureau.

18/6 - 30/6    ALASKA; KL7/W6JKV
               Activity will be 6 meters only from a mountain top
               30 miles NE of Fairbanks with an outstanding view in all
               directions (Grid Loc. BP64). Altitude is 2500 feet.
               Distance to London is 4200 miles, 4000 to Frankfurt,
               4100 miles to Tokoyo. He will use 800 watts and a big
               antenna. QSL via his home callsign.

25/6 - 5/7     SABLE I.; CYØX (FN93) and CYØRA (GN03) NA-063
               to be activated by Pete/VE3IKV, Dick/K5AND, Chris/W3CMP,
               and Bill/W4TAA. Activity will be on CW and SSB. The fixed
               6 m station in FN93 will have 800 watts into a 7 element
               beam up 40 ft. A portable 6 m station in GN03 will have
               100 watts into a 5 element beam up 30 ft. The callsign and
               frequencies will be announced later. Other references are:

               and DL8WPX. They will be active with four high power
               stations for about 17 days from 160-10 meters on CW, SSB

22/10 - 31/10  ST. KITTS & NEVIS; V4/W5JON NA-104
               from St. Kitts. Activity will be on 160-6 meters SSB
               and will include the CQ WW SSB Contest (October 25-26th).
               The QTH is on a mountain top with a 330 degree view.
               Equipment will be: ICOM IC-7000, RM Italy KL-400 Amplifier
               (400 Watts), Alpha Delta 10-160 Meter Dipoles and 3 Element
               Yagi on 6 meters.
