               in the morning of the 29th. The group will use 100 Watt

               from the rare Swan Island by a team from the Radio Club
               de Honduras and four operators from the US plan to be
               active, weather permitting. Further information will be

               from the Willis Islands by AA7JV (VK2NU) and HA7RY plan
               to be active depending on weather. Further information

ca 25/9-1/10   PAPUA NEW GUINEA; P29VCX OC-284 IOTA NEW!
               from Nukumanu Island (OC-284) is planned by Hans, SM6CVX,
               G3KHZ, G4EDG and CT1AGF for activities on all bands CW/SSB
               with three stations. A special permission is needed to be
               able to visit the islands, which as some researchers beleive
               belongs to those that will sink into the ocean in about 5
               years! The expedition will be very expensive, ca 30.000 USD.

25/9 - 5/10    WILLIS I.; VK9WWI
               by HA7RY and AA7JV weather depending, with the Varzin
               only being a 60 foot motor vessel, operators may delay
               their departure and wait for favorable weather. They plan
               on using 500 Watts into two vertical antenna systems.
               They have chosen the Spiderbeam Telescoping 60 foot mast
               for the 60 foot inverted L on 160 and 80 meters,
               as well as the 40 foot Spiderbeam Telescopic mast
               for 40/30/20 meters.

               DL7UFR and SP3DOI). They plan to operate CW, SSB, RTTY,

               from the Island of Embudu by G7COD. Activity will be
               mainly SSB with possibility of a little CW on the
               30/20/17/15/12 meters. Suggested frequencies are:
               14147, 18133, 21253 and 24953 kHz (+/- 10 kHz to allow
               for QRM). Times of operation will be every day from
               0830-1030z and 1300-1515z. QSL either via the bureau

               from Chang Dao. They will operate CW, RTTY and SSB

ca 3/10 - 9/10 PAPUA NEW GUINEA; P29NI OC-283 IOTA NEW!
               from Takuu Island is planned by Hans, SM6CVX, G3KHZ, G4EDG
               and CT1AGF for activities on all bands CW/SSB with three
               stations. If they get some spare time they will maybe be
               active a few days from Tulun (OC-256) on 6-9 October
               (callsign to be decided). A special permission is needed
               to be able to visit the islands, which as some researchers
               beleive belongs to those that will sink into the ocean in
               about 5 years! The expedition will be very expensive,

               radio in Syria on all HF bands.

               from Rottnest Island by VK6YS and KD6WW. They plan to
               operate on 40, 30 and 20 metres CW and SSB from about
               11 UTC on 15 October until about 3 UTC on the 17th.

               by DL2AH on 10-40 m RTTY/SSB. After that he is planning

               by OMØC Contest Group with six operators, OM2TW, OM1KW,
               OM2RA, OM6NM, OM5AW and OM1NW on 6-160 m CW/SSB/Digital,
               mainly low bands. They will use four well equipped stations
               and they will be QRV in the CQ WW SSB Contest. A tour to

               metres including the CQ WW DX SSB Contest as C6APR.

               by NM7H, primarily CW with some PSK and some SSB

1/11 - 14/11   NORFOLK I.; VK9ANH
               by DL2AH on 10-40 m RTTY/SSB. QSL hc direct or via bureau.

4/11 - 18/11   BRUNEI; V8FWP, V8FWU and V8FDM
               by PA3EWP (V8FWP, QSL via PA7FM), F5CWU (V8FWU, QSL via
               F5CWU) and GM4FDM (V8FDM, QSL via GM4FDM). Activity will
               be on all bands from 160-10 meters, conditions permitting.
               Modes of operations will be on CW, SSB and RTTY. Special
               attention will be given to the lower bands (160-30 m).
               Also, special attention will be given to Western Europe
               and the USA. They plan to use at least one beam antenna
               along with verticals and dipoles. All operators have
               plenty of experience during DXpedition operation.
               Depending on InterNet availability, they shall try to
               maintain online logs at a Web site yet to be established.

18/11 - 26/11  BAHAMAS; C6ATA
               by K2KW will be active including participation in
               the CQ WW DX CW Contest (November 24-25th) as a
               Single-Op/Single-Band (40 m)/Low-Power entry. Outside of
               the contest he will be active on 160-30 meters, mostly CW.

               by AA3B, activity will include the CQ World-Wide DX CW
               Contest as a Single-Op/All-Band/Low-Power entry.
               This will be an all CW operation on the contest HF bands

21/11 - 30/11  UGANDA; 5X1NH
               by G3RWF who will start from Kampala between November
               21-26th. He also plans to be active in the CQ World Wide
               DX CW Contest. Outside of the contest, he will try to
               be active on the low bands and the WARC bands, if conditions

               be centered around 14260 kHz, but with some possibility of

11 - 28/2 2008 DUCIE I.; VP6DX OC-182
               is being organized to take place in February 2008 by a
               large team of experienced operators. Landing permissions
               and licences have been granted, and a suitable charter
               vessel has been secured. Activity will be on 160-6 metres
               with seven stations, all Elecraft K3 transceivers with
               ACOM amps. The team is seeking financial contributions
               to help defray the very significant costs of this
               Dxpedition, well over 200,000 USDs. Full details on how

               activity will include the ARRL DX CW Contest. Outside the

CW:  28040, 24920, 21040, 18098, 14040, 10115, 7030 and 3530.
SSB: 28560, 28460, 24950, 21260, 18128, 14260, 7055 and 3755.

The frequencies are NOT exclusive to IOTA!
IOTA net Saturdays at 1300z on 14260 and Sundays at 1300z on 21260!
