The output file will be a CABRILLO-file for checking your log in a log checking program. It will be called yourcall.log (example: SM3CER.log). You can download the program at: - http://www.sk3bg.se/contest/files/SMPin.zip - It's only one .exe-file called SMPin.exe (456 kB). Due to restrictions from the server provider we have to distribute the file as a .zip-file called SMPin.zip (233 kB). (The latest update is SMPin V0.920 - 2008-08-13). How to install: Save in a temporary directory, unzip the file using WinZip or similar, use File Manager to put SMPin.exe in a folder that you prefer (example: C:/Program/SMPin). How to make your log: -------------------- • Open the program. In the log window you can see the Cabrillo QSO Template for SMP. It's there only for information and will be erased automatically, when you are finished with the summary info. • Click on "File" and then "New". The window "New log" pops up. • Fill in all your information. You can jump between the input fields with TAB or SHIFT-TAB. The input field "Contest" have two options - "SMP-MAY" and "SMP-AUG". The input field "Category" have three options - "SINGLE-OP", "MULTI-SINGLE" and "CHECKLOG". To choose option click on the arrow to the right of the input field and use the "down" or "up" arrow for the correct option. • When you're finished click on the "OK" button. • Now you're ready to fill in your log information. You can jump between the input fields with TAB or SHIFT-TAB. The input field "Frequency" have two options - "3500" and "7000". To choose option click on the arrow to the right of the input field and choose the correct frequency. Then you can choose between the two frequencies with F1 or/and F2. The input field "Date" have several options. To choose option click on the arrow to the right of the input field and choose the correct date. The input field "Time" shows the time 0700 as default. To change the time you can use the "up" and "down" arrow OR the + and - keys on the numerical keyboard, when the cursor is in the CallEdit field "Received Callsign". To change the sent and/or received RST double-click in the field (or use TAB or SHIFT-TAB) and type the correct RST. The Power multiplier input fields have five options - 01, 02, 03, 04 and 05. To change the sent Power multiplier - Nr - and/or received Power multiplier - PwrNr - click on the arrow to the right of the input field and choose the correct multiplier. In the input fields "Received Callsign" and "Rec.Locator" be sure you are using the 0 for the figure zero and O for the letter O! ENTER will log the QSO, when you have entered the locator in the "Rec.Locator" field. NOTE: If you have done some input error you can easily edit your log file in the upper window. Under "Search" you have "Find..." and "Replace" if you need to do some changes. • When you have finished your log input you can use the "Check" tool under "Tools" in the menu to see if there are any errors in the log input. If there are any errors you can easily correct them in the log window. • To save the log click on "File" and then "Save". The file will get the name yourcall.log. (Example: sm3cer-p.log) Make sure you save it in a folder where you can find the file again...! If you need to edit the file before you send it to the Contest Manager you can do that in your favourite text editor. • Send an e-mail to: - sm3cer(at)ssa.se - with your Cabrillo log as an attachment. Deadline is 14 days after the contest. For information how to send your log via "snail mail" see the heading "Logs" in the rules at: - http://www.sk3bg.se/contest/smp.htm#LOGS - It's also nice to have a short story about your highlights, problems or whatever before, during and after the contest. Pictures are also welcome. -------------------- ooo -------------------- Date of info: 8 February, 2010 - Source: Jan-Eric Rehn, SM3CER - sm3cer(at)ssa.se - -------------------- ooo -------------------- MORE INFO: SMP Rules: http://www.sk3bg.se/contest/smp.htm RESULTS: http://www.sk3bg.se/contest/resultss.htm#SMP -------------------- ooo -------------------- Please send corrections/changes/new rules/results to: Jan-Eric Rehn - SM3CER sm3cer(at)ssa.se ------------------------------------------------- URL: http://www.sk3bg.se/contest/text/smpcabr.txt Copyright © 2001-2010 Jan-Eric Rehn - SM3CER This page was created May 9, 2001 Most recent revision February 8, 2010 -------------------------------------------------
