Name of Contest: 27th KCJ Contest. 2. Eligibility: Single operator amateur station worldwide and SWL. 3. Period: Starts 1200 UTC 26 August until 1200 UTC 27 August 2006 4. Mode: CW only. 5. Categories: Participants in Japan (JA): Multi-band, each single band and SWL. Those in overseas (DX): Multi-band and SWL. 6. Band: 160 m through 6 m, except WARC bands. Suggested frequencies: 1810-1825 kHz, 3510-3525 kHz, 7010-7030 kHz, 14050-14080 kHz, 21050-21080 kHz, 28050-28080 kHz, 50.050-50.090 MHz. 7. Exchange: JA: RST plus Prefecture/district code. DX: RST plus Continent code. 8. Invalid contacts: • a. In cross-mode or not CW • b. By cross-band, via repeater or satellite • c. JA: QSO by or with a multi-operator station. DX: QSO with non JA. 9. Points: For each complete contact on each band: JA: One point with JA, five points with DX. DX: One point with JA, no point with others. 10. Multipliers: Each prefecture/district (and continent for JA) worked on each band. 11. Scoring: Multiplying total points by total multipliers. 12. Log instructions: • a. Each entry must be accompanied by summary sheet showing all scoring information, name and address of the participant in BLOCK LETTERS. • b. Log should contain date, time, band, call-sign and exchanges both sent and received. • c. The time must be logged in JST by JA, and in UTC by DX. • d. A floppy disk containing plain text files comprising ASCII codes will be welcome. Use your call-sign as the filename such as JA1QSO_sum.txt (summary sheet), JA1QSO_log.txt (sheet). • e. Files of summary sheet, log and your message may be sent via an e-mail as a united plain text. Use your call-sign as the subject name of the e-mail. 13. Awards: All logs will be collated with each other to obtain the final score, multiplying total points confirmed by total multipliers confirmed, and certificates will be awarded to: • a. JA: The upper 5% and the top in each prefecture/district, being ranked at the upper half of each category. • b. DX: The top in each DXCC entity, in each state in USA and in each province/territory in Canada, getting more than ten points. 14.
