Since 1999, CQ-M is co-sponsored by Soyuz Radiolyubitelei Rossii. The "Soyuz Radiolyubitelei Rossii" (Union of Radioamateurs of Russia) have the honor to invite all radio amateurs from around the world to participate in the 50th annual CQ-M ("Peace to the World") International DX Contest - in May, 2006. The primary goals of the CQ-M Contest are to unite people in peaceful coexistence, foster mutual understanding, and engage in sportsmanship and cooperation through amateur radio. Date: The contest is the second (full) weekend of May every year. The 2006 CQ-M Contest will start at 1200 UTC May 13th, 2006 and finish at 1159 UTC May 14th, 2006 Bands: From 1.8 to 30 MHz Amateur Radio Bands excluding WARC. Modes: CW and SSB. Contest CQ call: "CQ M" ("Peace to Earth"). Participant’s categories: • A Single Operator - Single Band • A1 Single Operator - Single Band CW Only • A2 Single Operator - Single Band SSB Only • A3 Single Operator - Single Band Mixed (CW " SSB) • B Single Operator - All bands • B1 Single Operator - All bands CW Only • B2 Single Operator - All bands SSB Only • B3 Single Operator - All bands Mixed (CW & SSB) • B4 Single Operator - All bands QRP (Output RF Power not more than 5 Watts) • B5 Single Operator - All bands LP (Low Power) (Output RF Power not more than 100 watts) • C Multi Operator - All Bands, Single Transmitter, Mixed • D SWL - All Bands, Mixed • E WWII Veterans - for C.I.S. stations only • G Pobeda Memorial Special Stations • G1 Multi Operators, All Bands, Single Transmitter, Mixed • G2 Single Operator, All Bands, Single Transmitter, Mixed For categories C and G1 the 10-minute band change rule is enforced. The band change time is determined by the first QSO on new band logged. Stations in any category can transmit only one signal at a time except for multiplier QSO on different (only one) band. The 10-minute MULT band change rule is enforced. Any accidental non-multiplier QSO on another band should be included in the LOG. These contacts will be scored as 0 points and not penalized. Contest Exchange: RS or RST + QSO serial number. Points: • Same country - 1 point • Different Country, Same Continent - 2 points • Different Continent - 3 points Please note that Countries are determined by the R-150-S award list. SWL: SWL has to receive both the call signs and one exchange number (one point) or both callsigns and both exchange numbers (three points). The same callsign on the same band is giving points only once. The same callsign (for one point SWL) should not appear in the log more than 10 times on one band. Multipliers: Each country in the R-150-S list counts as one multiplier on each band. There are no multipliers for SWL category total score. Please refer to appendix for R-150-S list. Total score: The total score is the sum of all QSO points multiplied by sum of all multipliers. Awards: Plaques are awarded to the World Top Scorer in categories B, C and G (If the number of participants are under 10). Medals are awarded to the World Top Scorer in categories A1, A2 and A3 (If the number of participants are under 5). Medals are awarded to WWII Veterans - for C.I.S. stations only. Certificates are awarded to: • Top 5 in categories B1, B2, B3, B4, B5 • Top 3 in categories C and D • Top 3 on each continent in categories A, B, G • 1st place certificates will be awarded in category B1, B2, B3, C in every country (R-150-S award list), but the log must contain at least 50 QSO’s. Disqualifications: Breaking the rules of the Contest, license limitations, national communication laws and rules. The decision of The Contest Committee is final. Log submission: Computer log submission is preferable. Electronic logs: • We need electronic logs to make the results more authentic. • Submit your log in the CABRILLO format or plain-text file format created by all major logging programs. • All sent and received exchanges are to be logged. • All times must be in UTC. • The files should be named with the participant’s callsign, so for example UA0AA.LOG, UA0AA.ALL, UA0AA.SUM. • The Email Subject line has to contain your callsign and category i.e. "UA0AA A3-160". • We welcome any soapbox comments, equipment description, photos, stories. • The participant will receive automatic response to confirm log submission. Should you not received the confirmation within 2 weeks please re-send your log to - ua0agi@andys.ru - or mail your log to Contest Committee. Email address for logs: cqm(at)srr.ru or ua0agi(at)andys.ru Paper logs: • The hand-written log can be made in chronological order. • Each QSO must contain call sign, time, band, RS(RST), exchange number (both sent and received - even for check logs). • The summary sheet should contain category as per contest rules, callsign, full name(s), mail address, detailed claimed score, operator(s) declaration and signatures. • The participants in Multi operator categories should indicate names and operator’s own callsigns.
