START-OF-LOG: version-number Must be the first line of the log submission. The current version-number is 2.0. END-OF-LOG: Must be the last line of the log submission. CALLSIGN: callsign The callsign used during the contest. CATEGORY: operator-category For SMP contests the operator-category must be one of the following: SINGLE-OP-CW, SINGLE-OP-SSB, SINGLE-OP-MIXED, MULTI-ONE-CW, MULTI-ONE-SSB, MULTI-ONE-MIXED or CHECKLOG. CLAIMED-SCORE: n The claimed-score of the log submission, in integer form such as 1217315 or 19113 or 12. [can be omitted, as the log checking software will calculate the score] CLUB: text Name of the radio club with which the score should be aggregated. CONTEST: contest-name The contest-name must be one of the following: SMP-MAY or SMP-AUG. CREATED-BY: text Name and version of the logging program used to create the Cabrillo file. Manual input of a paper log:

SM2EZT has made a program for manual input of a paper log. The output file will be a CABRILLO-file for checking your log in a log checking program. It will be called YOURCALL.log (Example: SM3CER.log). CLICK HERE to download the program. It’s only one .exe-file called SMPin.exe (456 kB). Due to restrictions from the server provider we have to distribute the file as a .zip-file called SMPin.zip (233 kB). (The latest update is SMPin V0.920 - 2008-08-13). How to install: Save in a temporary directory, unzip the file using WinZip or similar, use File Manager to put SMPin.exe in a folder that you prefer (Example: C:/Program/SMPin). How to make your log: Open the program. The opening screen - the Data window - will look like this: Fill in all your information. You can jump between the input fields with TAB or SHIFT-TAB. In the input field "Callsign used" - remember to add /P (or /M if you’re mobile) after your call. (Example: SM3CER/P, SM3CER/4/P, SM3CER/M and so on...) The input field "Contest" have two options - "SMP-MAY" and "SMP-AUG". The input field "Category" have seven options - "SINGLE-OP-CW", "SINGLE-OP-SSB", "SINGLE-OP-MIXED", "MULTI-ONE-CW", "MULTI-ONE-SSB", "MULTI-ONE-MIXED" and "CHECKLOG". To choose the correct option click on the arrow to the right of the input field and use the down or up arrow. In the input field "Operators" fill in your "real" callsign if you used your contest or club call or the calls of all operators if participating in any of the Multi-One classes (separate the calls with a space only). As an example the filled in Data window could look like this: When you’re finished click on the Log flap. Now you’re ready to fill in your log information. You can jump between the input fields with TAB or SHIFT-TAB. The input field "Band" have two options - "40 m" and "80 m". To choose option click on the arrow to the right of the input field and choose the correct band. The input field "Mode" have two options - "CW" and "PH". To choose option click on the arrow to the right of the input field and choose the correct mode. If you choosed the correct contest (SMP-MAY or SMP-AUG) in the "Data" window the actual date of the contest will be shown between the "Mode" and "Time" input fields. The input field "Time" shows the time 0700 as default. To change the time you can use the + and - keys on the numerical keyboard. Remember to use UTC (GMT)! To change the sent and/or received "RST" double-click in the field (or use TAB or SHIFT-TAB) and type the correct RS or RST. The "Power" multiplier input field have five options - 01, 02, 03, 04 and 05. To change the sent Power multiplier click on the arrow to the right of the input field and choose the correct multiplier. In the input fields Call Worked and Locator (received locator) be sure you are using the 0 for the figure zero and O for the letter O! In the input field "Power" (received power multiplier) use 01, 02, 03, 04 or 05. ENTER will log the QSO, when you have entered the received locator in the "Locator" field. An example of the Log window: An example of the Cabrillo window: The Result window is showing your Claimed Scores. To save the log click on File and then Save. The file will get the name YOURCALL.log. (Example: SM3CER.log) Make sure you save it in a folder where you can find the file again...! If you need to edit the Cabrillo file before you send it to the Contest Manager you can do that in your favourite text editor.
