Here are the contest results of the 1999 Midwinter Contest, and I am happy to say that the participants who have send in their logs have increased again! In 1996: 36, in 1997: 53, in 1998: 24 and in 1999: 42. I have spoken to many of you during the contest and that was a great pleasure! And with your logs many of you send me some personal notes about the contest, always very much appreciated! Due to our PR action of 1997 the contest rules appeared in quite a lot foreign magazines, however some magazines published old contest rules? Off course we will continue this publicity action, and maybe it will all be fine next year. Anyway, I think 1999 Midwinter Contest was a very nice one and I’m sure I speak for many of you. I have also enclosed for you the rules for 2000, let’s hope the Year 2000 problems will all be solved before 8 and 9 January hihi. To celebrate the new millennium we will hand out a small gift to all participants next year! And who knows, maybe I will receive more than 100 logins then! (hi) Congratulations to all winners of 1999, the top three of every section will receive their award together with this result-info.
