Rig: Yaesu FT-817 - 5 W Workin muutamia QSOja Ten-Tec hamfestilta Tennesseesta lyhyella hamstickilla. Kokeilin myos lauantaina iltapaivalla kotia ajellessa (1900Z ->), mutta Great Smoky Mountainin vuoristotiet aiheuttivat liikaa QSB:ta... ja rattihommia :) PS. Paasin kopaisemaan uutta Orion rigia pikaisesti. Mielenkiintoinen peli. Main-RX pelkastaan hamssibandeille ja molemmissa vastaanottimissa identtinen DSP. Ominaisuuksia sen verran, etta useimmat kokeilijat eivat nayttaneet saavan aanta ulos, heh... 73, Marko - AK4XX - OH7KD

Living just 90 km south of the Scandinavian border, SAC always is a big challenge on the high bands. This year, my new 11-element Yagi Type 11-3 from OptiBeam did a great job in giving me good signals from the north.

Claimed Score: 341 QSOs = 341 points x 127 multipliers = 43,307 total points. Thoroughly enjoyed taking part in Scandinavian Activity Contest seriously for the first time since the 1980s! It was great to say hello to all the good friends I made at WRTC in July - and to my old Swedish friends (I was G4JVG/SMØ on and off between 1982 and 1987). High points: 5-band QSOs with many stations; 3-band QSOs with JW (JW5X on 10, 15 & 20), and just 1-band QSO with OY (OY9JD 10m); low points: nothing heard from TF, OX, JX (or OJØ - not expected, though). Was interesting to hear my fellow UK WRTC visitor Lee, GØMTN, give exactly the same serial number - 158 - as me in consecutive QSOs with OH6Y on 40m! I didnt hear GØMTN after that, though - what happened, Lee?! Rig: IC-781 + Henry 2KD Classic amp to A3S beam at 10m and 40/80m Carolina Windom, also at 10m. 73,

Its much tougher on SSB with hidden antennas and low power than CW. Humorous moment when I confused the heck out of LA2Z when I called immedietely after N2NC. He thought I was correcting my call at first. Was able to straighten him out and warn him of N2NT, N2NU, ETC. Huge signals on 40... but many of the guys werent listening split. 73, Dave N2NL

Funny, but I lost the electrical power network in my home for 4 hours (02:00 GMT - 06:00 GMT) and it was no possible to work in the contest... May be the 400 QSOs were be really...
