Operators of original QRP rig, commercial or homebrew, including industrial QRP rig exceeding 5 W output like Elecraft K2, QRP Plus, SG 2020, FT-7 and QRP-versions of QRO-transceivers like TS-130V, FT-707S etc.
Stations with QRO-equipment (>20 W out) temporarily tuned down to QRP will be listed as non Original checklog. |
19. O-QRP-Contest: Last full weekend after Christmas (07-Jan/08-Jan-06).
7 - 8 January 2006 |
Saturday 1500 UTC till Sunday 1500 UTC
Rest period of 9 hours minimum in one or two parts. |
CW segments of the 80-, 40-, and 20 m band. |
- VLP (1 W out or 2 W in)
- QRP (5 W out or 10 W in)
- MP (20 W out or 40 W in)
No QRO-category!!! |
Single-op CW.
Various TX/TRX may be operated, but only one at the same time. |
RST, serial-no. / category e.g. 559001/VLP. |
The log checker will count 4 points for a QSO with another contest station whose log has come in. All other QSO count 1 point.
Exchange of RST is sufficient with stations not in contest. |
The log checker will count 2 multiplier points for each DXCC-country from a QSO with a station whose log has come in.
Otherwise each DXCC-country counts 1 multiplier point. |
Sum of QSO-points multiplied by the sum of multiplier-points. (Calculated by the log checker. Dont try an own calculation; you cant foresee who will send his log and who will not).
So every log is welcome and important, even just 3 QSO on a picture postcard. |
List QSO sorted bandwise, please. Add the DXCC prefix if you claim a multiplier for a QSO.
Here is a proposal for paper summary/log sheet oqrp.pdf
For electronic logs via Internet see e-Maillogs (or further down on this page). |
Summary sheet has to show name, address, callsign and minimum rest periods. Indicate the types of all TX/TRX used with out- or input on each band according to manufacturer or measured under contest conditions.
Homebrew TX/TRXs description at least should name the basic principle (e.g. superheterodyne with IF or "straight set" like VFO-BU-PA) and the type of pa-transistor or -tube and possibly a reference (e.g. SPRAT No.&page).
Contestants who want to be marked in a Handmade subcategory must give a declaration like:
"All my TX operated in this contest were homemade by myself. I was coding & decoding the CW signals by head & hand without computer assistance and did not use any other computer support during the contest". |

The Windows-version of LM (DL8WAA) is recommended. DL1RNN also asks for a summary with claimed number of QSO and multipliers. Text files in STF-format, please. |
You are welcome to send your OQRP Contest log by e-mail to:
Please dont submit logs for other QRPCC contests in this format. Electronic logs are only accepted for the OQRP Contest.
We intend to make the adjudicators lifes a bit easier. You can imagine that it is a lot of work to calculate the results. Please help us by submitting an electronic log.
There are several choices:
- We recommend to use the very good contest logging program from Frank, DL8WAA. This program directly supports the OQRP Contest and generates standard formats.
- You may alternativley send files generated by the following contest programs:
- CT version 8 and 9 (by K1EA) *.bin files
- QW version 4 (by DL4MFM) *.bin files
- NA version 9 and 10 (by K8CC) *.qdf files and
- TR version 4 and 5 (by N6TR) *.dat files
Please name your file call.* and not oqrpc.*
- Please include the *.all and *.sum files from your contest logging software. Please name your files call.all and call.sum
Please edit the sum-file to include:
If we have received your log you will get a confirmation e-mail. Here we may also ask you to provide missing information.
