New Jersey QSO Party
The Englewood Amateur Radio Association
is proud to announce the
44th Annual New Jersey QSO Party,
which will be held on August 16th and 17th 2003.

 CONTEST PERIOD AND TIME:

2000 UTC Saturday August 16th
to
0700 UTC Sunday August 17th, 2003

and from

1300 UTC Sunday August 17th
to
0200 UTC Monday August 18th, 2003

 PARTICULARS:

A station may be contacted once on each band. Phone and CW are considered separate bands.

Stations outside New Jersey may only contact NJ stations.
NJ stations may contact any other station (including those in NJ).

 GENERAL CONTEST RULES:

General call for stations outside NJ is "CQ NEW JERSEY" on Phone, and "CQ NJ" on CW.

New Jersey stations should send "CQ" by saying "NEW JERSEY CALLING" on Phone and by sending "DE NJ" on CW.

Suggested frequencies are: 1.810, 3.535, 3.950, 7.035, 7.235, 14.035, 14.285, 21.100, 21.355, 28.100, 28.400, 50 - 50.5 and 144.0 - 146.0

 EXCHANGE:

All stations send a sequential serial QSO number and QTH as follows:

NJ stations send their NJ county, Out-of-State stations send their State, Province, or Country as applicable.

 SCORING:

New Jersey stations: Multiply the total number of complete contacts times 3 points each, times the total number of NJ counties, states (other than NJ), and Canadian provinces worked.

Out-of-State stations: Multiply the number of complete contacts (with NJ stations only) times 3 points each times the number of NJ counties worked.

 MULTIPLIERS:

New Jersey stations: The number of NJ counties, states (other than NJ), and Canadian provinces worked, for a maximum of 83 (21+49+13).

Out-of-State stations: The number of NJ counties worked for a maximum of 21.

 AWARDS:

Certificates will be awarded to the first place station in each New Jersey county, state, Canadian province, and country.

In addition, a second place certificate will be awarded when four or more logs are received.

A total of two plaques have been donated by the ARRL Section Managers for NNJ and SNJ to the highest scoring single operator station residing in each of their sections.

 LOG SUBMISSIONS:

Logs must show the UTC date and time, QSO exchange, band, and emission mode, and must be received no later than September 13th, 2003.

The first contact for each claimed multiplier must be indicated and numbered, and a check list of contacts and multipliers should be included.

Multi-operator stations should be noted and participating operators listed.
