1 March, 2012EI5DI’s Super-Duper discussion list

Super Duper V15.59 released

V15.59 - 1st March 2012

  • WAPC - Worked all Provinces of China:
Added direct support for both sides of this new event. SD is unrestricted in WAPC, with no need for any users to register or have an up-to-date key file.

  • CQIR - Ireland Calling:
This event takes place on St. Patrick’s Day, 17th March, to celebrate 80 years of IRTS. SD is unrestricted in CQIR, with no need for any users to register or have an up-to-date key file.

Russian stations in RDXC, which overlaps with CQIR, send a 2-character district code instead of a serial. SD’s serial field is truncated to two characters when appropriate.

  • Unrestricted Contest Options:
In addition to WAPC and CQIR, SD is now unrestricted, and free to everyone, in the following contests - no need to register:

    RSGB Commonwealth (BERU)
    CW Open
    CWops Mini Tests
    FOC Marathon
    FOC QSO Party
    IRTS 80 m Counties
    INORC Contest

  • Dupe Checking:
When using rig control in contests with 5 or fewer bands, dupe checking failed after switching the rig to an unused band. Fixed, thanks EI7GY.

  • WinKey:
At times, after running for a couple of hours, the WPM display from WinKey froze - even though the actual speed could be changed as normal. The WKINIT command has been updated to fix this problem.

  • DARC 10m Contest:
Fixed Cabrillo format - thanks DK9TN.

If you find new bugs in V15.59, please post details to this mailing list. Older versions are not supported, so you should first confirm that the problem exists in this version.

Please let me know what you would like to see changed or added.

New Super Check Partial Files Available
VER20120205 (05 FEB 2012)

A new release of the Super Check Partial database files is now available at http://www.supercheckpartial.com/

Calls in the MASTER.DTA file: 43,454
Calls in the MASTERTTY.DTA file: 11,913

*** Note: The next release will occur sometime in May 2012. If you have any new callsigns you would like to add for operations after May, please let me know as soon as possible.

If you’d like to contribute your Cabrillo format logs for the SCP database, please send them at any time. The easiest thing to do is to cc logs at supercheckpartial.com when you submit your log to the sponsor’s robot after each contest.

Also, if you have any VHF+ contest logs, Dave, W9ZRX maintains a VHF+-only SCP Database. You can cc your VHF+ contest logs submissions to zephd at indy.rr.com. The VHF SCP Website is http://www.k3lr.com/w9zrx/ (the last slash is important).

If you want to check the version of the SCP files you are using, look for a call beginning with "VER". Every SCP file includes the version number in the list of calls. VERYYYYMMDD

Please let me know if you find any bad calls in the files.

Thanks again to all the contributors!
