ORGANIZED BY:

Bulgarian Federation of Radio Amateurs.

DATE and PERIOD:

The weekend before the last full weekend of November. From 1200 UTC on Saturday till 1200 UTC on Sunday (19 - 20 November 2005) (i.e. during the weekend before CQ WW CW Contest weekend)

BAND and MODE:

80, 40, 20, 15, 10 m; CW and SSB. It is necessary to observe IARU band plan. Same station may be worked once on CW and once on SSB on each band. After changing the mode the entrant should stay on this mode for at least 10 min. Band changes are allowed without restrictions. During the band change the entrant must also observe the 10 min rule for mode! (Example - if one was on 20 m SSB for 5 min and change to 15 m band he/she must continue to operate on SSB for another 5 min before changing the mode to CW 15 m). Only one signal can be transmitted at any given time.

CATEGORIES:

A - Single Operator/Multi Bands/Mixed B - Single Operator/Multi Bands/CW C - Single Operator/Multi Bands/SSB D - Single Operator/Single Band/Mixed E - Multi Operators/Multi Bands/Single Transmitter/Mixed F - Single Operator/Multi Bands/Mixed/QRP (max.10 W) G - SWL Low power (max 100 W output) entrants will be marked with (*) sign in final results. Bulgarian stations are listed separately from foreign entrants.

EXCHANGE:

For non LZ Stns: RS(T) + ITU zone. For LZ Stations: RS(T) + 2 letters district abbreviation.

POINTS:

10 points for each QSO with LZ station 3 points for each QSO with other continent 1 point for each QSO with the same continent (own country included)

SWL POINTS:

3 points for two call signs and two numbers 1 point for two call signs and one number

MULTIPLIER:

The sum of ITU zones + LZ districts on each band regardless of the mode.

FINAL SCORE:

The sum of QSO points multiplied by final multiplier.

PAPER LOGS:

30 days after the contest (post seal being decisive).

AWARDS:

Top three scores in each category will be awarded a diploma. Plaque will be awarded to top score (No. 1) station in category A and category E (separately for foreign and Bulgarian entrants). LZ4CA Memorial Plaque (by LZ2CJ) for No. 1 LZ station in Single Operator/Multi Bands/CW category (B). LZ2EV Memorial Plaque (by LZ3SM and LZ3FN) for for No. 1 LZ station in A Single Operator/Multi Bands/Mixed.

REMARKS:

The total number of LZ districts is 28. Here are the abbreviations of all 28 districts: BU, BL, DO, GA, HA, KA, KD, LV, MN, PA, PD, PK, PL, RS, RZ, SF, SL, SM, SN, SO, SS, SZ, TA, VD, VN, VT, VR, YA.
