DX Colombia International Contest

 Objective:

The intention of the Contest is transmit good name of our country Colombia. Also oxygenate our Hobby print activities of this amateur radial modality for our Ham radio bands.

 Contest period:

This yearly contest will be:

Starts 0000 UTC Saturday 23th April

Ends 2359 UTC Sunday 24 April, 2005

 Categories:

  • "1" Single Operator - Single Band

  • "2" Single Operator - Multiband

  • "3" MultiOperator - Multiband - One Transmitter
    Operators must transmit as single-operator and may not change bands within next ten minutes of band in use.

  • "4" MultiOperator - Multiband - MultiTransmitter
    (All xmters must be located within 500 mts of each other).

 Bands:

160, 80, 40, 20, 15, and 10 meters.

No WARC bands accepted.

 Modes:

Phone, CW.

No mixed modes will be accepted.

 Contest calls:

Phone: "CQ DXCOLOMBIA Contest"

CW: "CQ DXCOLOMBIA TEST"

 Exchange:

RS or RST followed by serial number starting with 001.
(e.g. 59001 or 599001).

 Scoring:

Colombian and international stations score:

  • (1) One point for same continent.
  • (2) Two points other continent.

 Multipliers:

All DXCC countries on each band including HK, and number of HK zones: (ten (10) zones) worked count multiplier 1.

 Final score:

Multiply total QSO points by multipliers obtained on all bands, for the final score.

 Logs:

Logs must show:

  1. UTC times.
  2. Call sign station worked.
  3. All send and received exchanges are to be logged (RST).
  4. Indicate zone and country multiplier only the FIRST TIME it is worked on each band and total points claimed.
  5. Use separate sheet for each band.
  6. Include a cover sheet indicating in BLOCK LETTERS: category - mode - Your name - callsign - license beared - mailing address - a summary of your scores and how it claimes particulary for number of Colombian stations worked.
  7. Submitted logs must have duplicate contacts cleary shown with zero (0) points.
  8. Incomplete logs and those missing the summary infomation will not be included in the competition.

Software: We accepted CT software and Cabrillo or Adif format, please mark HK zones with any country.

 Other requirements:

  1. One contact per band will be accepted.
  2. No mixed mode contacts will be accepted.
  3. To qualify for the contest Diploma a number of at least 30 contacts must have worked.

 Disqualification:

  1. A contestant will be disqualified for violation of amateur radio regulations in his own country and the rules governing the contest as well as own license conditions.
  2. Wrong operating practices cause disqualification of the contester.
  3. An entrant whose log is deemed by the Contest Committee to contain a large number of dicrepacies or indicate a persistance of incorrect QSO's or Multipliers or show duplicate contacts up to 20% will be subject to disqualification.
  4. Action and decisions of the Contest Committee are official and final.

 Awards:

Trophies:
  • Top Winner

Colombian winner:

  • Category "1" Winner for each mode and band and categories "2", "3", and "4" for each mode
  • "The Best Novice Station" for HJ
  • Top Winner

International winner:

  • Diplomas will be awarded to stations who contact at least thirty (30) overall stations in the contest
