NOTE: Stations operating from call areas other than their call ID, must use /x for their actual call area. i.e. K5DJ/1 |
Cabrillo logs are required.
Stations unable to generate a Cabrillo log may send their log as plain text file. Such logs must be in chronological sequence, not sorted by band. All logs must show date and time in UTC, band or frequency, call of station worked, RST and exchange sent, RST and exchange received. Header must show call, category, address and club-competition (if given).
The files must be named after the participants callsign, for example XX0YY.LOG, XX0YY.ALL and XX0YY.SUM.
Logs without category and operating time greater than 6 hours will be classified as category A! Logs without category and operating time less than 6 hours will be classified as category B.
All stations must submit an electronic log by email, with the subject giving call and category, i.e. "xx0xx A".
Logs will be classified as checklogs if more than 15 % of the claimed QSOs have to be removed as a result of logchecking. |
Logs must be received by 10 August, same year to qualify.

FAQs:
- Q: You mentioned that each DXCC country on each band, including first contact with Australia, Canada, Japan and USA and that additionally, each call area in VK, VE, JA and W will count as one multiplier on each band (W1, WA4, JA2, VK4).
Am I correct if I understand that, in case of first contact with JA is JA1xxx, 2 multiplier points for JA and JA1 are acquired?
A: Yes, thats right.
- Q: In Japan, 7J1 to 7JØ are allocated to JA1 to JAØ, but 7K1 to 7N4 are allocated to JA1. Some contest sponsors rule out that
- (a) multiplier counting method should be equal to the call sign allocation scheme, but some other contest sponsor rule out for the benefit of contesting software structure that
- (b) 7L4 should be considered JA4 for multiplier counting.
Which kind of multiplier counting rule do you apply especially in case of Japan?
A: (a) is the right one (means call area)
