DARC XMAS-Contest

 1. Contestperiode:

December 26th, 0830 - 1059 UTC

 2. Bands / Modes:

  80 m 40 m
CW 3510-3560 khz 7010-7040 khz
SSB 3610-3650 khz
3700-3775 khz
7040-7100 khz

Each station may be worked one time on 3.5 MHz and one time on 7 MHz.

The station calling CQ must QSY after the QSO, leaving the frequency to the station which answered his/her call.

 3. Stations eligible to be worked:

All.

 4. Classes:

  • A: Single Op / SSB/CW - DL > 100 W output
  • B: Single Op / SSB/CW - DL <= 100 W output
  • C: Single Op / CW - DL > 100 W output
  • D: Single Op / CW - DL <= 100 W output
  • E: Single Op / SSB/CW - Non-DL
  • F: Single Op / CW - Non-DL

 5. Exchange:

RS(T) + DOK or Special Station abbreviation (see list).

Foreign stations and DL-stations without DOK: RST(T) + QSO no. (NEW!)

 6. QSO Points:

Each completed QSO counts 1 point.

 7. Multiplier Points:

1 per DOK / Special Station per band and 1 per prefix per band.

 8. Score:

The sum of the QSO points multiplied by the sum of the multiplier points.

Incorrect QSOs will be deleted.

 9. Logs:

Coversheet:

You must submit a separate cover sheet with your log. To obtain the form, send a SASE to the contest manager, or download in packet radio (Subject Contest) or from the DARC-Website: http://www.darcdxhf.de

Otherwise create your own, (sample-log) showing the operator’s name, address, call sign, DOK for the German "Clubmeisterschaft", the DOK or Special Station abbreviation and the class of operation (see above) used by you in the contest.

You must show the breakdown of your score, including the number of QSO points, the number of DOK / Special Station points, the number of prefix points and the final score.

You must testify (with your signature) that you fully complied with the rules and regulations of this contest.

Log:

Log sheets must contain a chronological listing of all contacts. Separation by band is not required, but is allowed. Check lists are also not required.

Log columns:

The columns in the log should show date, time in UTC, call sign, band, mode and exchange. Separate columns for calculations are no longer required.

Electronic Log Checking:

Participants who log with a computer are expected to submit an electronic log, either by floppy diskette, via packet radio or by e-mail).

Logs submitted by stations that did not abide by the rules and regulations of the contest, as well as those where the submitting station requests, will be counted as check logs.

Receipt of logs submitted by e-mail or packet radio will be confirmed immediately.

Format:

Please state the type of software used for logging.

Checklogs:

 10. Awards:

The winners of class A and class B will receive a trophy sponsored by the RRDXA and the BCC, respectably.

In addition, certificates and/or special recognition will be awarded to high scoring stations and to stations submitting error-free logs.
