Second CCCC Millenium Contest

NEW RULES
(note updated scoring method as of November 3, 2000
and correction to exchange info 12/30/00)

The CCCC Millenium Multi-Mode Digital HF Contest is scheduled for January 1, 2001.

Contest Date: 1200 UTC January 1, 2001 to 1200 UTC January 2, 2001.

This is the second "Millenium Contest", the first was January 1, 2000. The second contest marks the REAL start of the millenium.

Reflecting the new millenium, we will change the format from PSK31 only, to several differing digital modes.

The scoring rewards use of experimental modes, and as such, is unlikely to be supported by the popular contest logging software products. Since the contest is on a holiday for many people in the world, it is acknowledged that it will NOT be a contest with thousands of participants. This will likely mean that the average log will not be so long that manual scoring will be impossible, so get the pencil out or use your spreadsheet.

Yes, we know January 1st is a holiday and for some people it will already be January 2nd, but this is a casual contest that allows you to try out the latest digital modes. The scoring awards different points depending on the mode used. Hell, MFSK, Throb, MT63, PSK, ALE and RTTY are supported.

You will not find the contest supported by contest software, so you will have to score it the old fashioned way, yourself!

Note the contest starts at 1200 UTC (not midnight).

 OBJECTIVE:

For amateurs around the world to contact other amateurs in as many countries as possible using the PSK Mode, RTTY, MT63, THROB, MFSK, Hell or Ale.
