28 MHz SWL Contest
28 MHz SWL Contest 2006

This contest is open to all SWL’s over the world

MORE INFO

 Purpose of the contest:

  1. To activate the 10 meter amateur band.

  2. SWL’s: To log as much as possible DXCC-countries, USA-states and Canadian provinces on the 10 meter band.

 1. Contest period:

9 December 2006, 0000 UTC

until

10 December 2006, 2400 UTC

This contest period meets the ARRL 10 meter contest.

 2.

The contest is open to all SWL over the world.

 3.

Two categories:

  1. Single operator phone (SSB)
  2. Single operator CW

 4.

It is allowed to participate in both categories. In that case two separate logs are obligatory.

 5.

Of every DXCC-country (except USA and Canada), every USA-state and every Canadian province only three stations count for the points: the first station brings in 5 points, the second 3 points and the third station 1 point.

 6.

The contest log has to consist of the columns: Date (YYMMDD), UTC (HHMM), Station heard, RS(T) at SWL’s, DXCC (except USA and Canada), USA-state or Canadian province.

The stations in the USA report the state abbreviation and the Canadian stations the province abbreviation. Attention: These abbreviations have to be noted directly behind the call of the station heard. See the log example below.

 7.

The total score is the result of the calculation: points × DXCC × states/provinces.

 8.

The log has to be sent ultimately on 31 January 2007 to the contest manager:
